Nigel DEWS

Chief Executive Officer
Nigel Dews is Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA). Prior to this Nigel was CEO of 3 from January 2007.

Nigel joined 3 in November 2003 as Director, Sales, Marketing and Product where he was responsible for 3’s sales, marketing, distribution and 3G services.

Prior to joining 3, Nigel held senior management positions at Fairfax Media for more than seven years, focusing primarily on growing the digital side of the business.

Nigel held a Senior Consultant role for leading management consultancy firm, McKinsey & Company before moving to Fairfax Media, and prior to this, he spent time as an economist at the Reserve Bank of Australia.

Dave BOORMAN

Chief Financial Officer
Dave Boorman is Chief Financial Officer of Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA). In this role Dave is responsible for Finance including financial planning and integration, commercial operations, risk and internal audit, supply chain and vendor management, financial control and services, inter-carrier relations, data and information management and supporting financial performance through our business including Crazy Johns.

Prior to this role, Dave held the CFO position at Vodafone Australia from June 2005. At Vodafone Dave was responsible for the financial strategy of Vodafone’s Australian business and guided the business over a particularly successful period for the company, achieving outstanding financial and strategic goals.

Dave has enjoyed a long career with Vodafone, spanning back to 1997 when he originally joined Vodafone’s UK operations, before moving to the international division in 1999. Dave became CFO for Vodafone Ireland in 2003, a post he held for nearly three years before moving to Australia.

Greg BOURKE

Director of Human Resources
Greg Bourke is Director of Human Resources of Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA) where he is responsible for HR including organisation development, learning and development, property, facilities and people business partnering.

Prior to this role Greg successfully developed Hutchison’s people strategies and drove its high-performance culture over a 10 year period, having joined Hutchison back in January 1999.

Greg has held a number of senior HR roles prior to joining Hutchison, including the HR Director position with America’s Digital Equipment Corporation, where he was responsible for major restructuring and change programs as well as leading the merger planning team through a merger with Compaq in 1998.

Prior to his time with Digital Equipment Corporation, Greg held senior HR management positions with Mobil Oil and Trans Australian Airlines.

Tanya BOWES

Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs
Tanya Bowes is Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs of Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA).

In the role Tanya is responsible for Communications including internal communications, public relations, corporate affairs, corporate social responsibility and charity and community support.

Tanya joins VHA from 3, where she was Director of Communications & Corporate Affairs for over four years. During her time at 3 Tanya was responsible for developing and building 3’s positive reputation with its key stakeholders both externally, with media and industry analysts and internally with 3’s employees.

Prior to joining 3, Tanya led the communications team for PeopleSoft across Japan and the Asia Pacific region. Tanya has also led communications for companies in both Australia and the UK.

John CASEY

Director of Marketing
John Casey is Director of Marketing of Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA). John is responsible for all aspects Vodafone and 3’s marketing including products (voice, broadband, internet services and devices), pricing, campaigns and communications.

John brings more than 20 years marketing industry experience to the role and has established an enviable track record during his tenure as Chief Marketing Officer, Vodafone Australia – a role he held since April 2005.

John has overseen double digit revenue growth for the past three years and has ensured the Vodafone brand continues to punch well above its weight in relation to brand consideration against its competitors. John has chiefly been responsible for the strategic guidance of advertising, external communications, sponsorship and driving retail sales.

Prior to joining Vodafone Australia, John held senior marketing roles with a number of companies across Europe and Australia including CMO positions with Global Consulting Group Plc (UK) and Egg Plc (France and UK).

Noel HAMILL

Director of Sales and Distribution
Noel Hamill is Director of Sales and Distribution of Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA). Noel brings extensive telecommunications experience to the role, having spent more than nine years at Optus in Australia before joining 3 in May 2007 as Director of Sales, Marketing and Product.

As Director of Sales and Distribution at VHA, Noel is responsible for all aspects of our sales and distribution through for Consumer (Company Owned Retail, Dealer Partners, Mass Market, Online, Direct) and Business (Direct, SMB Dealer and Vodafone Global Enterprise).

In recent years, Noel has led 3’s distribution and marketing for 3’s voice and mobile broadband services across both consumer and business sectors. At Optus, Noel held several roles most notably focusing on marketing and strategy for Optus Business, including the company’s entry into the high profile and strategically crucial 3G market in Australia.

Prior to these roles, Noel held several senior roles at Cable & Wireless in Singapore and London as well as Hong Kong Telecom in Hong Kong.

Andy REEVES

Chief Technology Officer
Andy Reeves is Chief Technology Officer of Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA). In this role Andy is responsible for Networks & IT including strategy, planning and operations as well as applications and platforms for IT, Content, Value Added Services and the Web.

Andy comes to this role with considerable experience having held the CTO position at Vodafone Australia since mid-2002. At Vodafone Andy was responsible for the implementation of numerous technology upgrades to the Vodafone network, customer management and billing systems during his time with Vodafone Australia, and has overseen the recent national roll-out of Vodafone’s 3G (HSPA) network.

Andy goes back a long way with Vodafone Group Plc, originally starting with the company in 1987. Andy was one of the original team seconded from Vodafone UK in 1993 to start up Vodafone Australia and he has gained more than 20 years experience in the telecommunications and IT business during this time. Andy has also enjoyed time as IT Director with Vodafone New Zealand – a role he left in 2002 to return to Australia to take up the CTO position with Vodafone Australia.

Louise SEXTON

Group General Counsel and Company Secretary
Louise Sexton is Group General Counsel of Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA) and Company Secretary of Hutchison Telecoms.

Prior to joining VHA, Louise was General Counsel and Company Secretary with Hutchison since September 1998.

Louise takes the role as Group General Counsel and Company Secretary having garnered extensive legal and regulatory experience as General Counsel and Company Secretary in listed public companies across a number of high technology industries in Australia.

Louise also brings experience from her time working for the Federal Attorney-General’s Department and for one of Australia’s largest law firms.

Grant STEVENSON

Director of Integration and Deputy CFO
Grant Stevenson is Deputy CFO at Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA). Grant brings more than 12 years financial and commercial experience to the role and has held senior commercial, financial and operational positions at 3 since February 2005 and was appointed Deputy Chief Financial Officer, 3 in November 2007.

As Deputy CFO at 3, Grant was responsible for the financial management of 3, including strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting, and financial control. Grant also led the Merger Integration Planning team for 3.

Prior to joining 3, Grant held a senior financial management position with British Telecom Wholesale, responsible for product pricing and investment. Grant began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Auckland, moving to Sydney in 2001 as Mergers and Acquisitions Manager for Tyco.

Zac SUMMERS

Director of Strategy and Wholesale
Zac Summers is Director of Strategy and Wholesale of Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA) where he is responsible for VHA’s strategy development and implementation. Zac is also responsible for VHA’s Wholesale division, Messaging and Paging business and Innovation teams.

Zac joins VHA from Vodafone Australia, where he was General Manager for Strategy since November 2007. In this role Zac’s main focus was to guide the direction of the business to ensure specific strategic goals are achieved.

Prior to joining Vodafone, Zac enjoyed more than 10 years as a management consultant, based primarily with McKinsey & Company in London while working with telecoms and media companies throughout the world. Zac moved to Australia in 2007.

Michael YOUNG

Director of Customer Service and Experience
Michael Young is Director of Customer Service and Experience of Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA). In this role Michael is responsible for customer service and experience including care and servicing, supply chain and logistics, and the on-device, on-line and billing experiences for our customers.

Prior to this role Michael held senior IT and operational roles within Hutchison from May 2001, having originally held the position of Director of IT and Billing before being appointed Chief Technical Officer in August 2003.

Prior to joining 3, Michael was Vice President of IT, Asia Pacific at Campbell Soup and Arnott’s Biscuits. Michael brings more than 20 years experience in IT, telecommunications and customer operations to the role, covering a broad cross-section of industries including manufacturing, retail, telecommunications and broadcasting.
